Therapy

Step 1: Discovering you

Initially we arrange a free phone call to briefly discuss what made you reach out. You can also ask me any questions you may have.
In our first session we explore the reasons you have come to therapy in more detail, what your expectations are, and how we will work together. We can talk about any fears or concerns that you might have.
If we choose to continue working together, we will arrange a mutually convenient day and time for our weekly sessions. This will be your dedicated weekly slot.

Step 2: My therapeutic approach

Therapy is a collaborative process; this means a good therapeutic relationship is essential to our success. Together we will build a trusting and supportive relationship that will enable you to change and grow.
My approach is empathic, relational, and direct. Using a straightforward style, I tailor my approach to allow your needs to guide our work. At your own pace, we will address the cause of your distress and the behaviour patterns that are limiting your progress.
Alongside talking therapy, I can bring in other practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. If suitable we can use creative approaches like drawing and working with imagery.

Step 3: Celebrating success

Processing your thoughts and feelings widens your perspective and helps you gain new insights. This enables you to make more conscious choices in alignment with your needs and values, leading to a more fulfilling life.
Having developed various tools, strategies, and behaviours you will experience lasting changes and more joyful living. Fostering a sense of agency and self-direction allows you to see yourself in a realistic and positive way.
As you internalise our work, you will become self-empowered and be able to increasingly support yourself without therapy.
